Fishes have many, many different types of mouths, jaws, and snouts. Every species has specialized to eat a certain type of food over time and each mouth-type reflects what type of consumer a certain fish is. This is a chart I put together to describe the most common types of mouth, snout and jaw types of fishes.

Every fisherperson SHOULD KNOW the basics of what is in this video. Can fishes see color? What is the lateral line? Do fishes have ears? - Can you answer these questions? This video helps fishers with their fishing game with a bit of basic science. (And yes, "fishes" is a legitimate word...seriously.)
